Tatakae is developed by Jacob Aguilar. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App.
Tatakae is designed to minimize data collection. The App does not require creating a separate account — authentication, if needed, is handled entirely through your Apple ID. The App does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
All your workout data, routines, body measurements, and custom exercises are stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to back it up to iCloud.
The App uses your device camera solely for AI-powered exercise detection and rep counting. Video frames are processed entirely on-device using Apple's Vision and CoreML frameworks. No images or video are stored, transmitted, or sent to external servers.
On supported devices, the App may use the LiDAR sensor to perform body measurements. All scanning data is processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted externally.
If you enable iCloud backup, your workout data is synced to your personal iCloud Drive account using Apple's native file management APIs. We do not have access to your iCloud data. Backups are governed by Apple's iCloud Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
If you choose to connect Apple Health, the App may read and write body measurements (weight, body fat, lean mass, BMI, height, waist circumference). This data is processed locally and shared with HealthKit only with your explicit permission. We do not access or store HealthKit data on external servers.
On compatible devices, the App may use Apple Intelligence features to analyze your training progress. This processing is handled entirely by Apple, either on-device or via Apple's Private Cloud Compute infrastructure. We, as the developer, do not have access to any data processed by Apple Intelligence. Usage of these features is subject to Apple's terms and privacy policy.
The App may offer subscription plans or in-app purchases. All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing data. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
If you join the waitlist on our website, we collect your first name, last name, and email address solely to notify you when the App launches. This data is processed via Resend and is not shared with any third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time.
The App does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. It is built entirely with native Apple frameworks. Payment processing is handled solely by Apple via the App Store.
The App is not directed at children under the age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction (13 in the United States, 16 in the European Union, or as otherwise specified). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
By downloading or using Tatakae, you agree to the following terms.
By using the App you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
You retain ownership of all data you create within the App (workouts, routines, measurements, custom exercises). We do not claim any rights over your content.
Tatakae is a fitness tracking tool and does not provide medical advice. The AI detection feature and body measurements obtained via the LiDAR sensor provide estimates and may not be 100% accurate. They should not be used for medical diagnosis. Always consult a qualified health professional before beginning any exercise program. Use the App at your own risk.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
Certain features of the App may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Pricing and availability may vary by region. All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
We may modify or discontinue the App at any time without prior notice. Your right to use the App will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile, without regard to conflict of law provisions. However, if you are a consumer residing in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws (such as the European Union), those local protections apply to the extent required by law.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
