Version 1.6

Describe your routine. Apple Intelligence builds it.

Routines drafted on your iPhone by Apple Intelligence, three new exercises counted by the camera and Tatakae in Japanese. Plus more accurate counting and rankings that load instantly.

Until now, setting up a routine meant picking every exercise, set and rest by hand. With 1.6 you can describe it in your own words and Apple Intelligence fills in the form: name, days and exercises. For automatic routines it only picks exercises the camera can count, and nothing is saved until you review the draft and tap Save.

The draft is built on your iPhone by Apple’s on-device model, on iPhones with Apple Intelligence. Your description and your workouts never leave the device.

What's new

  • Build routines with Apple Intelligence: describe what you want ("push day, 3 days a week, no bar") and get a draft ready to review.
  • New exercises counted by the camera: knee push-ups, decline push-ups and mountain climbers.
  • New program: First Steps, the gentlest way into The Forge.
  • New program: Your First Circuit, a 10 minute AMRAP for beginners.
  • Knee push-ups join First Steps and The Forge, and 0 → 50 Push-ups adds incline and knee push-ups to help you get there.
  • Knee push-ups and decline push-ups get their own rankings.
  • Tatakae now speaks Japanese: the app, voice guidance and the Apple Intelligence features.
  • Redesigned Programs screen and reorganized Settings.

Improvements and fixes

  • Thumbs up and open palm no longer trigger on their own.
  • Push-ups with your knees on the floor no longer count as regular push-ups.
  • The pike push-up no longer adds a rep when you leave the position.
  • Friends and rankings load instantly with what you saw last.
  • The app opens even without a connection.
  • Joining the public rankings now requires choosing a country.
